Dr Seuss. It seems to me people either love his work or hate it; that is to say, there is no luke-warm. We didn’t grow up reading it because, as my mom asserts, “you weren’t interested.” However, as I watched her with my child, I soon realized that is SHE who is not interested in the children’s books of Dr. Seuss(!).

And so it is not due to his name being mentioned that I re-post this article, but rather to the remainder of the title that I bothered to even read it. It is a surprising read, and opens me up to reading more on Dr. Seuss himself.

Read this and see how adults have become ‘obsolete children’ and how we go from laughing until our sides nearly split to laughing ‘politely.’ I never did want to grow up… it had nothing to do with Dr. Seuss – but my regression just might! 😉

The NDE, or Near Death Experience, is a topic that popular media such as CNN has broached as recently as this past April. The term is given credit for its existence to Raymond Moody, author of the 1975 book Life After Life.

According to IANDS (International Association for Near Death Studies), In a near-death episode, a person is either clinically dead, near death, or in a situation where death is likely or expected.

Below you will read the autobiography of Michael Gaudet, who nearly died as a teenager. He kindly accepted my offer to contribute to my other blog, and I wanted to share it with my readers on this blog, as well. Some things are just meant to be shared.

While I have offered him authorship on this blog as well, perhaps he will take me up on it for other articles. We have yet to see!

Life is all about change. Life changes because of personal choices, circumstances, opinions, and ideas, whether they our own or someone else’s.

As someone who was raised to say “how high” when my parents said “jump!” I realize that making a knowledgeable, well-thought-out decision is pertinent to a healthy life-style. While allowing others to help guide you is definitely a good idea, it is also great to be self-informed as well and to do a little digging yourself. At least that’s what I’ve found.

I am now approaching what I think some call middle-age (but who says I’m going to die at 80, anyway??) and a wife and a mother. I have worked in the “real “world, traveled 3 continents, lost money, made money, stayed at home, gone to college, survived life-threatening illnesses, you name it. I bet there is something somewhere in my history that we can name as having in common! C’mon, try me. ;)

My hope for this blog is to provide a resource for you to make well-informed decisions on various topics that you will find listed in the sidebar. If nothing else, maybe we can just chat or follow one another’s blogs.
